‘My rescue came in the form of ClutterBye’
“I first enlisted ClutterBye’s help when I was struggling to deal with the aftermath of several moves, all crammed into a very small bedsit. I was feeling overwhelmed – unsure as to where or how to start. My rescue came in the form of ClutterBye. Jane was both polite and kind – and I cannot emphasize enough how patiently she worked out the details of the task with me. What really stood out for me was her lack of disapproval when dealing with the clutter – all the worries I’d had melted away. She brought a new perspective to cleaning the key areas for me, and this was really helpful as a follow-on action.
‘…it was back to the one service I trust – ClutterBye’
Later, I wasn’t able to prepare the bedsit for a final move, so it was back to the one service I trust – ClutterBye – to step in and help at a particularly emotional time for me. This service really understands how much your possessions mean to you! Jane was really comprehensive in her work and took care of the little details when I couldn’t. At all times, she kept in contact and it meant that I could go through with the flat move with less worry and more confidence. The results have been simply fantastic.
‘ClutterBye was that friend for me – someone trustworthy, responsible, and unafraid to offer practical advice’
I would recommend ClutterBye for any level of de-cluttering, not simply because of the straightforward and practical service Jane offers. If clutter really does represent a state of mind, then it’s always better to have friendly advice and a helping hand to see the problem for what it really is. ClutterBye was that friend for me – someone trustworthy, responsible, and unafraid to offer practical advice. I couldn’t think of a friendlier way to really feel happier with what I’ve got – in a clutter-free environment. Don’t we all need that?

“I’m a fifty year old whose life had been quite complex enough without my letting the house become a dumping ground for every vaguely repairable electronic device manufactured since time began. At first, the collection had been a source of pleasure. At first…
Having come to realise that my situation had to change and quickly, I did a web search which in turn led me to Jane’s website. I read the words, I looked at the images that showed other folks’ cluttered homes and I digested the testimonials which told me that this person knew their game, was good at it and actually appeared to care, not only about the process itself, but also about the significance of involving [the clients] at every step, so enabling us to feel as though we were still in control and gradually to feel less overwhelmed by the enormity of a task that Jane performs rapidly, efficiently and in a thoroughly professional manner.
‘I now have a tidy, manageable home’
Today (11/11/15) was Jane’s final session in my house, I now have a tidy, manageable home that will be much simpler for me to manage going forward since a cleaner can now be appointed where previously, anyone apart from Jane would have taken one glance past the bedroom door and then made their excuses and disappeared, never to be seen again.
Jane is the commensurate professional yet manages to be a warm, genuine and caring soul who puts the individual’s needs first, has a simply amazing work rate and has, in my case, done in a total of 58 hours of work over 5 weeks for a total cost that is actually well below the amount of money I would have spent to employ any of the other individuals or companies who would have travelled to my location and, had I gone for a different option, I would have had little or no control over the handling of my possessions or indeed over my own life throughout that time, which would in all probability have added to my feelings of hopelessness and to the emotional turmoil that comes with these feelings.
To anyone who is considering having some decluttering done, I say that Jane should be your first choice to carry out the procedure. I am rarely at ease around strangers yet trusting Jane completely and not worrying about her ability to handle my possessions with respect and care came within minutes of her being in my home, such was her ability to put up with my neurotic, nervous and often indecisive presence.
‘I can enjoy my home as I should for the first time in years’
I’m sitting here writing this in my tidy, now almost minimalist front room knowing that, thanks to the outstanding combination of skills demonstrated by Jane – the engineer, logistics coordinator and identifier of mysterious objects pulled from deep, dark cupboards – I can enjoy my home as I should for the first time in years.
Go on, get yourself decluttered, take the plunge, do it.”

“Having lived in our house for 37 years and being magpies by nature, we decided the time had come to grasp the nettle and start de-cluttering. In the past, we had never got round to de-cluttering because there always seemed to be something more urgent or more interesting to do.
I made a start on my dining room aka my ‘Resources Centre’ for all kinds of craft projects. Having ruthlessly cleared it, I felt greatly liberated and proud of my achievement. By now the clutter in Richard’s garage, workshop and shed had become so bad that the task was truly daunting.
‘We decided we needed some help and with Richard’s birthday coming up, I decided to give him two sessions with a professional de-clutterer’
Neither of us knew quite what to expect but Jane was lovely. We found her totally non-judgemental and full of useful suggestions as well as lots of practical advice and help. Richard really enjoyed working with Jane and was delighted with the result.
‘We would certainly recommend Jane to everyone’
The challenge will be to not let the clutter creep in again but it is consoling to know that if it does, Jane is just at the end of the telephone!”

Mr & Mrs C., Morpeth, Northumberland (March 2014)
‘Jane has been MAGIC in my life!’
“From the first meeting you were approachable and affirming, offering support in a non-judgemental way. I’m glad you believed movement could be achieved where I had become stagnant over many years. In recent weeks the clutter which has given me so much grief turned into the same thing that helped me deal with it.
I am so upbeat now and have seen that with your help I have begun to come unstuck from the heavy burden of the clutter. I really can’t begin to thank you enough.”

Miss K., Gateshead, Tyne & Wear (April 2013)
“Thank you for your help in getting me motivated to make progress on the final phase of sorting out my storage following a long-distance move and a lengthy period of house renovation which left me feeling overwhelmed and with no enthusiasm to finish the job. Although there was not really an enormous amount to do it felt like an impossible task to finish off as there were so many areas needing attention.
‘This session gave me the boost to get started on other areas and put some of your many useful tips into practice.’
Your initial assessment visit was really helpful in identifying where to start. In the next 2.5 hour session we found homes for all the items in my bedroom so that I know where everything is and it is all put away tidily with easy access. This session gave me the boost to get started on other areas and put some of your many useful tips into practice.
I have now reached the point where if I invest half an hour or so I can actually make some visible progress in other areas. Your support was really helpful and you obviously know a great deal about how to tackle many different situations in a way that suits the individual concerned.
Tidying is not yet my favourite occupation but I do enjoy the results of time spent on it and find it less worrying than before my ClutterBye experience.”

Mrs G., Ryton, Tyne & Wear (June 2009)
“My ClutterBye experience was wonderful.
After having two children who never wanted to part with anything my life had become over full. The playroom was coming out to get me. The mess was making me dread entering the room.
‘The playroom was coming out to get me.’
ClutterBye changed all that – the toys were sorted, reallocated and thinned out. I had a few boxes to sort papers, baby books, McDonalds toys etc…, but because the hard graft had been done this was not a daunting task.
Life became so much more organised, my childen could easily find what they wanted and where to put them back.
A life changing experience which I now enjoy everytime I enter the room.
Thank you ClutterBye.”
