A free initial consultation will start with an appraisal of the room or area to be decluttered and any priorities will be discussed before formulating a plan of action. Work may begin immediately following this consultation or if more appropriate a date for a return session will be made.
Sessions generally last between 2 and 5 hours depending on the area to be cleared. Working efficiently and fairly quickly no corner will be overlooked. Items will be kept, rehoused, recycled or disposed of. The decision process gets easier with each item and I’ll be there to help you to decide what is genuinely of use to you and what isn’t but the final decision is always yours.
Hourly rates from £30.
Payment should be made by cash or bank transfer at the end of each session.
Any advice I give is given in good faith and it is always your decision to accept any guidance I voice. When handling possessions of clients I take great care to look after them. Unfortunately accidents can happen and I rely on you to carry insurance which will adequately compensate you for loss or damage however caused whilst undergoing decluttering.
I am happy to help with relocating items within your home, but maintain the right to decline my assistance with heavy or large items. Removal or disposal of items from your home must be at your own discretion and organisation.
You will only be charged for time spent in your home. This may include time for refreshment breaks, but these shall be few and far between and it is probable that you’ll need a break too. Whilst a booking is generally made for an agreed amount of time it is not always possible to anticipate exactly how long a task will take, reassessment of the time required may be needed during the task.
I provide a professional service and never divulge client information to third parties. The only context in which your situation may be mentioned is in giving examples to other clients of how particular problems can be overcome. In any instance of this kind information will be depersonalised and you as a client would be unidentifiable.
During sessions, with your agreement, I sometimes like to take “before and after” photographs for use in my portfolio or on my website but this will only be the case with your permission.
Both you and I have the right to cancel any sessions due to unforeseen circumstances. In this instance 24hr notice is required by either party.
